Visit the introduction to our ministry for some of the story of how God brought us to this.
-
There are over 6,900 languages in the world.
-
People in over 2,200 language groups, almost 200 million people, have no Scripture in their language.
-
We are Steve and Glenda Moitozo, missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators.
-
We have two boys: Stephen (age 6) and Evan (age 4).
-
Steve was one of the Elders at Unity Bible Church (Feb 2007 - Dec 2010) in Lewiston, ME and the Software Architect at Bates College (Aug 2001 - Dec 2010) when God called him and Glenda into full time ministry with Wycliffe.
-
Glenda is a busy mother of two boys.
-
Wycliffe's goal is to have Bible translation projects in the last languages begun by the year 2025.
-
Steve serves as Network Engineer in Global IT at Wycliffe's JAARS Center, the technical services organization for Wycliffe Bible Translators, and over 50 Wycliffe partner organizations.
-
JAARS provides critical services to over 1,800 translation projects taking place in over 90 countries.
-
Glenda is focused on being mom to Stephen and Evan. As we become more settled in Waxhaw, NC she plans to explore opportunities for involvement at JAARS a couple of mornings per week.
-
There is still room on our team of ministry partners. We are seeking people who will pray, contribute financially, and advocate for our ministry in their local areas.
The introduction to our ministry page tells more of the story.
