Visit the introduction to our ministry for some of the story of how God brought us to this.
-
There are over 6,800 languages in the world.
-
People in over 2000 language groups, almost 340 million people, need Scripture in their language.
-
Wycliffe's goal is to have Bible translation projects in the last languages begun by the year 2025.
-
Steve and Glenda Moitozo are missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators.
-
We have two boys: Stephen and Evan.
-
Steve was one of the Elders at Unity Bible Church (Feb 2007 - Dec 2010) in Lewiston, ME and the Software Architect at Bates College (Aug 2001 - Dec 2010) when God called him and Glenda into full time ministry with Wycliffe.
-
Glenda is a busy mother of two boys.
-
Steve serves as IT Architect for Global Technology and Information Services. He is responsible for worldwide strategy and technical direction for the systems that aid the process of language development and Bible translation in 98 countries.
-
Glenda serves part-time as Assistant to the Director of MK Station, a half day childrens program for young missionary children (MKs).
-
People at the JAARS Center support critical technical, transportation, and vernacular media services to over 1,525 translation projects taking place in over 98 countries. (Watch the video.)
-
There is still room on our team of ministry partners. We are seeking people who will pray, contribute financially, and advocate for our ministry in their local areas.
The introduction to our ministry page tells more of the story.
